The client
Prentice Hall, Humanities Division
The challenge
To construct an elegant CD-ROM that would provide intuitive navigation to the available Listening Guides.
These guides allow the user to insert an audio CD and audition a piece of music as they read about it.
The process
The design process required that we conduct careful photo selection in order to represent the various styles
of music accurately. Once elements were available, designing was straight-forward given our background in music.
Understanding well the goals of the CD allowed for the architecting of a solid solution. Ultimately, our modular
solution easily withstood expansion and changes as the project progressed. Attention to detail and heavy testing
were key in producing a clean end-product ready for duplication.
The outcome
A classy, groundbreaking multimedia/audio title that has won top recognition from Canada's Applied Arts Magazine
in their 2001 Design Annual.
