The challenge
Our client wanted to convert a dry, black & white workbook and accompanying video footage into a worthwhile interactive experience for students.

The process
A framework had to be developed for the various question types and interactive scenarios. The videos were to be accessible by section via intuitive navigation, allowing the student to experience the flow of a typical session. Students would advance from video footage to critical thinking questions progressively.

The "Integrative Counseling" content was structured to span two CD-ROMs, given the amount of footage. A mechanism was put in place to prompt the student to save his or her work prior to exiting a section. This same work was available for loading next time the student would return to the CD.

The outcome
An attractive title that accomplished injecting life into otherwise static material. The resulting interactivity far exceeded any interactive value afforded by simply watching the videotape on a TV set and writing notes in a workbook.
